If you don't pay the dues, you should be kicked out of the union. It's that simple. If you join a union, the implicit understanding is that, in return for whatever "protections" the union provides, you pay dues. If you don't like the fact that that particular union donates money to the campaign funds of those whose politics you oppose, then look for a job that doesn't.
