To use a still more ancient metaphor, the assumption that a great segment of the population is "prodigal" may be the Republicans' Achilles heel.Samuel Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934870299522899944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8820814198873126054.post-33788754580554462012014-02-19T19:15:08.514-05:002014-02-19T19:15:08.514-05:00"... Republicans a belief that the unsuccessful need to change their lives in order to become successful."</i><br /><br />It isn't our lives we need to change. It is the definition of "success". Why is it that these low-brow idiots can only quantify success with a dollar amount? No, I'd say in this case, if the "successful" are the older brother and we "losers" are the prodigal son, perhaps it's time for a little fratricide. Because the fucking plain truth is, WE HAVE BEEN WORKING OUR COLLECTIVE ASSES OFF for over a hundred years and are no closer to success now then we were then. Why? Because "older brother" gets to make all the rules; gets to determine the status quo; gets to decide who "tightens the belt" and who gets all the rewards. These people are self-deluding scumbags who profit from the hard work of we working-class people while they take all the profit. It is time for the prodigal son to start kicking elder brother's ass and reminding him that, when the rules fail, "might makes right".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
